This is a destination where the island matters. Tobago is genuinely lovely — Level 1 risk profile with stunning diving. Trinidad is Level 3 with terrorism and kidnapping indicators.
Two clinical flags: YF vaccine — one of the few Caribbean destinations where CDC recommends it for forested areas. And dengue is the main mosquito-borne concern — returning febrile traveler has dengue until proven otherwise. Oropouche (midge-borne) is emerging regionally.
